We are pleased to announce that a major pilot study of the Myknowledgemap remote assessment platform Myprogress is underway at one of Sweden’s larger universities. It will be fantastically exciting to see if Myknowledgemaps solution can make evaluation more mobile in educations where more elements are “on site” rather than on campus also under Swedish conditions.
Assessment of students in action presents different challenges than when it takes place on campus
Good news if you are in chemistry, physics or biology!
We have started a collaboration with a developer of digital education solutions for these subjects that may change quite a bit of how education is done today.
We will soon tell you more and start a number of pilot projects at schools and universities in Scandinavia and it will be very exciting to see how these turn out!
We will run a dedicated newsletter for these projects and if you want to be on that list, please let us know here [sign up]
If you have colleagues in chemistry, physics or biology who might be interested in being the first to know more about a revolutionary digital product for these subjects, feel free to forward this email to them!
If you would like to take your STEM subjects one step even further, then Gradescope by Turnitin is seriously something you should take a closer look at. Contact us for a free 3-month pilot for the department or get a personal user account free of charge here
IntelliCon 2021: Your Analytics in Action. 21:a oktober
Listen to Daniel Amo, Head of Data Analytics at La Salle University (Barcelona), our good friend Mark Glynn, Head of the Teaching Enhancement Unit at Dublin City University and more when it comes to educational practice at your department.

Speaking of Dublin City University, did you know that they use Unicam for lecture capture? This is what the university writes on its website

Each video is captured and stored on the users DCU Google Drive in a safe and secure manner. As the videos are stored on Google drive there is no additional cost to the institution regardless of how many videos are created making Unicam the most sustainable video capture system for higher education.”
Best practices for reducing student collusion

So, as a student or instructor, how much do you know about collaboration? Download Turnitin’s whitepaper [free] to understand what causes collusion and how to identify, manage and deter this form of misconduct.

In practice, students and education professionals are encouraged to think about academic integrity in all their activities. Preventing cheating, plagiarism and other types of misconduct is central to their job descriptions, and strict penalties are imposed on those who give in to temptation. One university’s strenuous efforts to eradicate cheating acts as a guiding light for the education sector, going as far as providing statistics on the similarity of papers checked for plagiarism.
